This study was carried out on assessing the long term health effects of occupational exposure among workers of ashaka cement industry in akko lga area of gombe state. Specifically, the study aimed to examine the prevalent long-term health conditions observed among workers at Ashaka Cement Industry, find out if there is a significant correlation between the duration of occupational exposure to cement dust and the severity of respiratory conditions, and examine the existing occupational health and safety measures implemented at Ashaka Cement Industry, and how effective they are they in mitigating health risks. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. Questionnaire was used for data collection which was raised against a five Likert scale of Strongly Agree(SA), Agree(A), Undecided(U), Disagree(D), and Strongly Disagree(SD), and was analysed using the frequency counts, percentages, mean and standard deviation. A total of 100 respondents were conveniently selected as sample size comprising of workers at Ashaka Cement Industry in Akko LGA Area of Gombe State. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that there is a significant correlation between the duration of occupational exposure to cement dust and the severity of respiratory conditions among workers at Ashaka Cement Industry in Akko LGA Area of Gombe State. On the basis of these findings, it was recommended that cement industries should establish a comprehensive health surveillance system to monitor the health of workers over time, focusing particularly on respiratory, dermatological, and cardiovascular conditions. This system should include regular medical check-ups, lung function tests (spirometry), skin examinations, and cardiovascular assessments to detect early signs of occupational illnesses.
